The art I have for sale reflects my personal taste and interests. I am drawn to artworks that combine an aesthetic appeal with a rigorous intellectual foundation, a distinct vision and a quality of craftmanship in their making.
The collection is varied both in image and materials, ranging from Contemporary and Modern artists with considerable reputations - Wilhelmina Barns-Graham, Eileen Cooper RA, Barbara Rae RA, Eduardo Paolozzi - to those early in their careers. It is an eclectic mix and I have tended to collect in an ad hoc fashion. The exception to this is the new collection of landscape etchings by Old Masters, which is specifically focused as an exploration of landscape as a subject for artists and printmakers between 1580 and 1820, and the development of etching as a form of printmaking in this period. Given their age and condition, the reputation of the makers, and in many cases their rarity, it is remarkable to find that their current values are very modest.
I am sure you will enjoy exploring this collection. New items will be posted regularly.
